On and off again showers this evening resulted in only 38 riders registering tonight, but luckily there was no rainfall during the event. Still only 12 of 33 who had ridden earlier exceeded their previous 2008 OTT best, perhaps due to the coolness of the evening, the winds being stronger than advertised by Environment Canada, or maybe just because of all the extra non-aerodynamic dirt on our bikes from the wet roads beforehand! Congratulations are in order to Denise Ramsden for leading the women's results and upping the 15km Junior Women's record for the third time in as many rides, and to Warren MacDonald for being first amongst the men with his fastest time this season and second fastest time overall. Also very noteworthy is the consistency of some of tonight's riders thus far this season, in particular Ron Amos who is sure to crack the 20 minute barrier shortly.
